A Match Made at Christmas by Courtney Walsh was such a cozy, delightful holiday novella. It gave me all the warm fuzzies.
In the land of holiday books there are a lot of similar storylines out there, but this one was unique and super fun, which I really appreciated.
On Nantucket there are rumors of a secret matchmaker. Of course Hayes McGuire has never put much stock in the stories, until he’s tapped to take over her duties while she’s off the island for Christmas. He insists the help of his best friend Pru, and armed with a list of matchmaking rules they set about creating a little holiday magic.
It took me a few chapters to warm up to the main characters, but ultimately I think the author did a fantastic job of helping the reader get to know them in a short amount of time, and I soon felt invested in their lives. Plus the story was so cute overall, and it was the perfect light, fun read for this time of year.
