Big Magic
Score: 4/5
I read Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear by Elizabeth Gilbert (author of Eat Pray Love, The Signature of All Things, Stern Men etc) when it first came out, but I just re-read it for the third time and wanted to share it with you. The first time around I found it a little woo-woo for my tastes, but the more I thought about the underlying principles of paying attention to your intuition, acting on your ideas without fear, and the role persistence plays in creativity, the more I found that it made sense to me.
Elizabeth Gilbert also has a podcast series called Magic Lessons where she expands on themes in the book through chats with a number of wonderful guests. I definitely recommend giving that a listen.
